Krista's CAPABLE Programme - Towards Synergistic Intelligence
Krista believes in providing a 'total' learning and experiential environment for a child through its CAPABLE Programme - a preschool programme that will provide the springboard for a child to become a well-balanced and 'total' person in his or her later years. Krista's CAPABLE Programme synergises the different types of intelligences to enable one to reach his or her full potential in skills and competencies covering the intellectual, philosophical, physical, social and emotional aspects of life. The CAPABLE Programme in Krista is carried out in a supportive and receptive environment and makes the learning and experience process for the Krista child an effective as well as a fun and enjoyable one during his or her early childhood years.
The CAPABLE Programme is a comprehensive preschool curriculum aimed at synergising all the various types of intelligences through the following:-

The child in the CAPABLE Programme at Krista will be directed and guided within the following 4 main segments of preparatory groundwork for a successful lifelong learning process :-
- displaying individuality
- effective acquisition of knowledge
- building character
- achieving competency
Krista kids, after having experienced the fun and stimulating nature of the programme in a conducive physical and emotional environment, will be well poised to be competent, resourceful, creative and resilient in their later years. This programme is all-encompassing and progressive in nature. It provides a firm foundation for lifelong learning in all areas of personal development for young children through synergistic intelligences.
Krista books and teaching materials have been prepared with this concept in mind and are tailored according to the various learning and experience stages that optimise synergistic intelligences. At Krista, children at the tender age of three are gently introduced to the path of learning and experience in a most fun and enjoyable way using its 'Fun' book series. The four-year-olds are a curious lot and Krista provides the opportunity for them to discover the world around them through its 'Discovering' book series. At the age of five where kids have more questions then one can answer, Krista leads them to explore the 'why and how' through the 'Exploring' book series before they progress more aggressively into the 'Study' book series at the age of six. This series prepares the children for a smooth transition to primary school education, supporting the New National Preschool Curriculum with Science and Mathematics taught in English and also the implementation of a mental arithmetic programme.
Other highlights of the CAPABLE Programme include day-to-day teachers' guide, Krista workbooks, trained principals and teachers, fun and enjoyable extra-curricular activities and the use of themes and Montessori methods.
The Krista e-Discovery Programme is an in-house computer programme which focuses on a combination of logical, linguistic, visual as well as musical intelligences. It lends support to the academic curriculum and prepares children for IT exposure and smart schools.
These Krista programmes are conducted by Krista centre teachers who have to undergo a regular training regime and are subsequently certified.
These trained teachers follow a day-to-day teaching guide and are given plenty of room for creativity in the interactive and synergistic learning environment for the children at their centres, giving individual attention to each child as he or she progresses.
Krista's programmes have benefited thousands of children of early childhood years nationwide and those who have gone from Krista centres to the primary schools are adapting well. They not only obtain better grades but are also capable on various fronts.
Krista is currently Malaysia's largest kindergarten and childcare programme network with some 130 outlets throughout the nation and has five national records in the Malaysia Book of Records.
Special children with various learning disabilities and developmental delays also have the opportunity to enjoy school life at Krista Centre for Special Children (Surea Programmes). They learn to be independent; maximise their potential; contribute to society; and live meaningful lives under the watchful eyes and loving care of qualified and dedicated trainers and teachers at the Centre whose love for these children knows no bounds.
